Acceptable Use Policy

LibOTP · Last updated: 1 August 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of the LibOTP Terms of Service. It describes what you may and may not do with LibOTP virtual numbers, wallets, and related tools.

1. Intended use

LibOTP is for legitimate temporary SMS verification and related testing where such use is lawful and permitted by the third-party service you are accessing. You are solely responsible for complying with those third parties’ terms and applicable law.

2. Prohibited uses

You may not use LibOTP to:

  • Commit fraud, identity theft, phishing, or social engineering.
  • Send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or harassment.
  • Create or operate scam, malware, ransomware, or credential-stuffing campaigns.
  • Bypass security controls, sanctions, or access restrictions in violation of law.
  • Abuse payment systems, chargebacks (where applicable), or deposit TxID reuse / spoofing.
  • Attack, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer LibOTP or its providers.
  • Resell numbers or SMS content in a way that violates law or provider rules without authorization.
  • Use the Service if you are under 18 or in a jurisdiction where the Service is illegal.
  • Assist others in any of the above.

3. Third-party platforms

Many apps and websites restrict virtual or temporary numbers. Using LibOTP to violate another platform’s terms is at your own risk. LibOTP is not responsible for account bans, lost access, or disputes with those platforms.

4. Crypto deposits

  • Send only the supported token on the selected network to the displayed address.
  • Do not submit fabricated TxIDs or attempt to claim another user’s payment.
  • Do not use LibOTP to launder funds or move proceeds of crime.

5. Fair use of support and APIs

Do not flood support, automate abusive requests, or share admin credentials. API and catalog access must stay within reasonable rate and purpose limits set by LibOTP.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected abuse and take action including warnings, temporary holds, permanent bans, canceling activations, refusing deposits, deleting accounts, and cooperating with providers or authorities. Unused balance may be withheld when required for fraud prevention or legal compliance.

7. Reporting abuse

If you believe LibOTP is being abused, contact the administrator via in-app support on the Recharge page with evidence (wallet ID, TxID, activation ID, timestamps).

8. Changes

We may update this AUP at any time. Continued use of LibOTP after changes means you accept the updated policy.
